As a designer I love to see how the market moves and changes. While 10 years ago it was all about having the perfect gadget the newest design on the market and when it came to preparing for a new baby well, every parent to be – looked to the high tech, baby carrying device that lets face it only a man would wear. For now it shall remain nameless but we all know what we are talking about.

For one thing as a desinger of a childrens line of products Im finding it very inetresting that while we live in the world of fast paced technology there are some things that truely stay the same. Carrying a baby around the old fashioned way, with a native sling.

In my cyber travel Ive found many a stunning childs room. But one night I stumbled across a wonderland of ideas for kids rooms. What’s interesting is each room has a very different feel but all are delightful, inviting and interesting.

Some key ideas to note are – use of colour, hanging beautiful stationary and letters and numbers on the wall which we see a lot here in Australia these days. But I just love the collection of very individual softies, quirky drawer handles, miss matched furniture and families of toys. Its full of life and love and you just want to curl up read a book and go to sleep so you can dream a dream.. ♥
